The Rouge & Bleu School, at Necker

The Rouge & Bleu School at Necker will be hosted within Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital. A space for sport, play and learning, conceived as a breath of fresh air for hospitalised children, their families and the medical teams.

This project is part of a partnership of more than 15 years with the hospital. Its purpose is to offer hospitalised children accessible activities that reduce their anxiety and improve their wellbeing, while taking medical constraints into account. By enabling moments of togetherness between hospitalised children and those from outside, the project also aims to break down the walls of the hospital. Designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the building will give pride of place to light and natural materials to offer a soothing environment.
